I lost my sister's hermit crab (9 year old girl)
I rang Kids Helpline because I was really scared I'd get into heaps of trouble from my mum and dad and big sister. I knew I wasn't supposed to touch my sister's hermit crab, but I just wanted to hold it for a little while. I didn't mean for it to run away. I was just holding it when the phone rang so I put the crab down. When I got back, it had crawled under a cupboard and I couldn't reach it.
I rang Kids Helpline and the counsellor was really nice. He told me that his kids have pet crabs too and said I should put two bowls with shredded apple and salty water next to the cupboard and the crab would come out.
It worked and I put the crab back in its box. Thanks Kids Helpline!
