I have had many problems with my family and I had lots of body issues. I had severe scoliosis - my spine was deformed, meaning that parts of my body were out of proportion. I envied all the girls going to the beach in a bikini where my barely there chest was always covered up. I wished that I could look like them.
I had no one to talk to, my parents don't talk to me and my siblings were too young to understand. I was thinking of ending my life. Then I talked to Kids Helpline. They were so understanding, and by the end of the chat I thought I was worthwhile again.
Now I go to the beach in a padded bikini, with a smile on my face. Yes, I'm a double AA, barely in fact. It's so easy to think negative thoughts about yourself and give your self esteem a bashing. But I will just give Kids Helpline a call. I never want to go through that emotional pain again.
