Fake info about me

I use to be friends with some really cool kids. After a while, people started to look at me weird, like I was an alien. I asked one of the girls at school why everyone was looking at me weird, and she replied not to touch her or go near her, that she was straight. I explained to her that I was also straight, but she laughed.
These people who I thought was my friends had grabbed some fake information about me being in a relationship with someone over the net, which wasn't true. I confronted them and that seemed to make it a lot worse. The next day, I had the flu and wasn't able to go to school, so they thought it would be funny to tease my brother, who can stand up for himself, but the things they had said, made him feel alone and unwanted. I had to go on work experience, so mum told him he could stay home for a day, so he could calm down.
When I got back I found two messages on my email from two people I never ever message. Both contain very inappropriate language, and both had contained information about me being a lesbian. I felt so stupid and alone. I ended up hurting myself.
But I had had enough of everything they had said, and everything that had happened, so I told the school about the email, because they had happened during school time, and with school emails.
The school investigated and found that they had in fact hacked into those accounts and sent me the emails. They were suspended and left the school. If I hadn't got onto the Kids Helpline website and found ways to talk about it, I'm pretty sure that it would still be happening.
