Outcast by friends

Who has ever played a prank on a friend? I have lots of times. But once in year 8 my prank went very wrong. I tricked one of my friends into believing Billy Connolly was coming to my party. I don't know how I did it but I did. Anyway, she was quite surprised when Billy Connolly turned out to be a DVD recording of the comedian. She left my party despite my apologies. I was sick on Monday and didn't attend school. When I arrived on Tuesday I was met by my entire group (none of them had been able to attend the party, the other girls there were from my previous school).
From that moment on year 8 became hell for me. They kicked me out of the group and one month later when my mother abandoned me on my father's door step they all said I deserved it. They spread the most horrible rumours about me around the school and that year I was absent 15 days because I couldn't face them and went home about 10-15 times. I always hid in the library. I only had one friend but most of the time she was with my old group. For a few weeks I was with two other girls who were friends with my group. One day they decided to get rid of me too. I was so heart broken I was sent home crying.
This went on from term one and well into term 3. The year co was just too soft and wouldn't put the book down on these girls. It was at the start of term three, I was sitting outside the library waiting for it to open. On a piece of paper I was scribbling a story about some characters from a video game I loved and a girl in the year above me recognised the name of the characters and we began to chat. Before I knew it we were friends and not only that she took me to her group. A mix of grades, girls all with similar interests. The girls liked me for me and all my craziness. I was allowed to just ramble about anime and video games and they could ramble back. I am serious when I say these girls saved my life.
